HAI workshops are custom designed to the needs of your healthcare organization. They begin with a 2 hour walk through assessment of existing hand hygiene conditions related to design, equipment, supplies, employee engagement and compliance performance. As part of this assessment ATP swab testing is conducted on surfaces at high risk for pathogen contamination. The process is interactive; engaging professional and environmental staff in selecting the surfaces to be tested. Results are available immediately and corrective actions are discussed and demonstrated.
After the walk through assessment a 90-120 minute interactive workshop is conducted with 15-25 attendees. The workshops include a number of group exercises. Some exercises are designed to encourage the development of real-time cleaning practices and to reduce touches of high risk surfaces. Other exercises identify staff at high risk for HAI cross contamination and introduce new techniques for improving and tracking hand hygiene compliance.
Best practices in surface and hand hygiene equipment, supplies and training materials are reviewed and emphasis is placed on the value of visible and measurable standards for the quality and frequency of hand hygiene.
