The Handwashing Healthcare Forum exists to benefit the Infection Prevention Professional and the communities they serve. The Forum is committed to lowering the risk of healthcare associated infections through best practices in surface and hand hygiene. The CDC estimates >99,000 patients die every year from HAI; 1 in 20 persons admitted to a hospital contract HAI and 1 in 350 die.
The Healthcare Forum supports hospitals searching for solutions to the growing threat of preventable infections. Reaching the many disciplines required to effectively manage the risk of cross contamination requires a facilitated & integrated approach.

NINE (9) interactive workshops were recently held for Healthcare Forum Member hospitals in New York State. Each workshop included a facility assessment and a 90 minute session on surface and hand hygiene. Members rated the workshops a 4.2 on a 5 point scale.
